How To Share Data On All Network | MTN, AIRTEL, 9MOBILE And GLO

Internet as been growing rapidly changing a lot of things for us making things easier, it as become part of us.  Individual and even business owners can't do without the internet.

To access the internet, a working data is  needed and this can be provided by a Telecommunication services which you can subscribe to any data bundle.

You must have been searching on how to share data to friends and family. If you are in the category of people who don't know how yet.  In this article we'll be going through on how to share data on MTN, Airtel, 9mobile, and Glo  network. Let's get started!

How to share Data on MTN

MTN Data gifting service is available to everyone on the MTN network. Data can only be shared from your main data balance. And you can transfer multiple times. However, the cumulative amount which you can transfer in just a day is 1GB. Follow the instruction below to share data to other MTN network.

1. Dial *131*7# on your phone to access the data share service. The following options will be displayed to you.
2. 1 to Transfer from Data Balance.
3. 2 to Buy data for a Friend.
4. Also you can press 3 to Request data from a Friend.

Note: You can select data share options from 50MB, 100MB, 200MB and 500MB. And the minimum you can transfer in a day is 1GB

To transfer data via USSD: 

You can transfer data to your friends and family from your existing data balance to anyone on your MTN network.

1. Simply dial *131*Phone number*data amount#. e.g *131*07030346863*500#
2. You can also text Transfer Phone number data amount to 131. e.g Transfer 07030346863 500 to 131

To transfer data via myMTN application.

1. Download myMTN App
2. Now login to myMTN app.
3. Select your data balance details option.
4. Select the share icon.
5. Select the preferred data volume you want to transfer.
6. Input the beneficiary number.
7. Finally Click submit.

How to share data on Airtel

Data sharing on Airtel can only be done to other Airtel line that is you can only transfer data from Airtel to Airtel lines. Follow the below settings to share data on Airtel Network.

1. Dial *141# on your Airtel line.
2. Note you are required to first change your PIN. The default PIN is 1234.
3. Select option 8 Gifting & Sharing and click send.
4. Data Gifting allows buying a data bundle plan from the lists of Airtel bundles plan to another Airtel customer.
5. Select the kind of plan you’d like to gift to another Airtel line and enter the recipient’s phone number to complete the data sharing to the other Airtel line.
6. Data Me2U option allows sharing data from an already purchased data bundle. Just select the option and follow the instructions to transfer data to other Airtel line.

Note: The maximum amount of data that can be transferred daily is 200MB. And also, data can only be transferred twice in a day and it can only be transferred to Airtel lines. Also, you will not be able to do a data transfer more than 90% of your data and/or less than 3MB of your data.

How to Share Data on 9Mobile

Data sharing can only be done from 9mobile number to another 9mobile line. Follow the below settings 

1. Dial *229*PIN*Volume of MB*phone number#. E.g *229*0000*25*08185677932#
2. The default PIN is 0000. You can wish to change it if you like.
3. A data plan between 25MB to 75GB activated on your line in order to be able to transfer from them. 
4. The minimum number of transfer per transaction which you can do is 10MB, while the maximum per transaction is 200MB. In short, the transfer ranges in transaction is from 10MB to 200MB.
5. The maximum limit is 1GB per day. You need to have a minimum balance of 50MB after a successful data transfer. 

Note: Bonus data cannot be transferred

 How to Share Data on GLO

To share data on your Glo line to another Glo number you must have subscribe to any of the Glo plans. You can choose any data plan depending on your choice. Follow the step below to share your Glo data.

1. Just dial *127*01* glo number#. E.g *127*01*09151373895#  
2. If you want to remove the Glo number from data sharing. Then dial *127*02*the Glo number#. The number will be removed automatically.
